Fall is our favorite! We love the cozy of a cup of tea, a pile of wool in your lap, pumpkin everything, and basically all the fall feels! We have a lot going on these next few months, and we hope to see you as much as you can stand our enthusiasm! |

Pumpkin Palooza Kick Off
Saturday, September 17 Every fall, Carol of Knit Equals Joy designs a new pumpkin pattern, and we get the privilege of displaying her collection. 2022’s Jack Be Little is the newest pumpkin in the patch, and just when you think they can’t possibly get any cuter, they do! We’ll be kicking off this Palooza September 17th with Pumpkin Spice tea, treats, and gifts. We invite you to stop in, pick your pumpkin pattern, and get knitting. During the following four weeks, if you bring in your pumpkin to share (even unfinished) or tag us with a picture on social media, you’ll be entered for a chance to win our Fabulous Fall Feels basket! |

Socktober
The Month of October Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays $20 per session
We’ve declared October Socktober at Wild Knits, because they ‘pair’ so perfectly! There will be two parts to this special month:
First, we’ve had many customers express an interest in learning to knit socks. We’ll knit a pair of basic socks, one at a time on two circular needles in small sessions. We'll have three people to a session, including the instructor. Time slots will be available, so you can choose what works best for you. If you're completely new to socks, you may want three sessions: 1) cast on and leg, 2) gusset and heal, and 3) toe decreases and grafting. If you need help in only one or two areas, sign up for one or two sessions. If you don’t see a time that works for you, please let us know. We’ll do our best to work with you.
Second, we’re having a sock contest. As much as we love knitting/crocheting, sometimes we need a reminder that we’re having fun. So, fun and creativity are the most important criteria for this contest. Entries must have a traditional sock structure (leg, heal, foot, toe) and be wearable, but we won’t be scrutinizing every stitch. Do nice work and knit or crochet something you’ll enjoy! Pin your name, phone number and email inside the sock, and we'll display it for the month. Entries can be brought in anytime, but no later than Saturday, October 29. |

This November 12th will be our third birthday! More details to follow but mark your calendars for the 11th and 12th. We’ll be offering great deals and fun thank yous! Our celebration will also include a trunk show (November 8th-19th) of Lucky Tweed from Kelbourne Woolens. This is a worsted weight, rustic, soft tweed in a beautiful range of colors. My very favorite tweed! |
|
*Our Knit/Crochet Together time continues every Wednesday from 11-1 and Fridays from 4-6. We'd love to have you stop in!

Beginning Knitting
Date: November 19 and December 3, 10:30-12:30 Teacher: Holly Cost: $45 Skills Required: Tenacity and a willingness to learn You may have heard me say it, but I often tell people learning to knit has more to do with tenacity than talent. While learning, I was frustrated and ready to quit many times but somehow determined not to let 'it' win. Years later, I'm so glad I saw it through. We’ll start with the basics: casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off. We'll be limiting class to eight, so if you're interested (or know of someone who may be), think about registering early. |

Knitting Lizard Fibers is based in Minnesota and one of my favorite new finds. They have amazing fall colors, and we've ordered them on multiple bases: Blue Faced Leicester Twist Sock, BFL Tweed Sock, and Tough Sock. Perfect for anything from pumpkins to wraps! |
|
Tweed seems to be the theme this season! Blue Sky Fibers has put the icing on the cake with the release of their new Woolstok Tweed. This is an Aran weight, soft, lofty yarn in familiar Woolstok colors. It would make a beautiful sweater, hat or scarf! |
|
Malabrigo already makes an amazing sock yarn, but Ultimate Sock now gives us the option of their sock yarn with nylon for added strength. We've received one shipment and are expecting more colors soon! The above is just a few highlights of our new inventory. There's plenty more! |

Thank you for three years of helping this dream of a local yarn shop come true. There's not a day that goes by that I don't love being at Wild Knits, and I'm thankful for every person that walks through the door. ~ Holly |
